The River Adour joined by the Nive in Bayonne finishes at the sea in Chiberta, Anglet (just 3kms West of Bayonne next to the Yacht marina), but starts at a Mountain source just South of La Mongie (Ski Resort) in the Hautes Pyrenees (65) Departement in the Pyrenees Mountains

The Adour flows through 4 Departements & 2 Regions (Known as a mini region: Pays de l'Adour), Hautes Pyrenees (65) (Reg: Midi-Pyrenees), Gers (32) (Reg: Midi-Pyrenees), Landes (40) (Reg: Aquitaine) and Pyrenees Atlantiques (64) (Reg: Aquitaine) on the way to the sea.
