The "Musee de la Mer" (Maritime Museum), in Biarritz.
First opened in 1935 and now fully renovated.
Definitely worth a visit.

A fascinating collection of the fish and invertebrates that live in the Bay of Biscay displayed in 24 aquariums with over 150 species including sharks, saw fish and the guitar ray.
And the classic attraction of the seal's pool, seen from under water and in the open air. Don't miss feeding time at 10.30 and 5.00

Open every day of the year except the second week of january.
from 9.30 to 12.30 & 14.00 to 18.00
From July to september - open all day
From July 14 to August 15 - open till midnight
