Hossegor Beaches

The endless sandy beaches of Hossegor are home to some world famous waves.

The plage centrale is the main beach in Hossegor : a family beach that offers a vast expanse of fine sand below the Place des Landais with its shops, bars and restaurants and the "spot" of the night life in Hossegor

The South beach (la Sud) on the seafront along Hossegor, near the marina, for swimming and surfing, children's beach club

The Naturist beach, better known locally as the Bare Bottoms', on the edge of the beaches of Seignosse

The lifeguards insure your safety during the summer (centrale, South and North)
Please respect their instructions and swim between the flags !!

The Gravières beach to the north of the Plage Centrale is a surf spot known for its hollow waves. Not for beginners! Along with the big outside waves at the North (la Nord) this beach has hosted the World Championships of Surfing (the WCT). Beginners abstain.

Other aquatic activities, windsurf, sailing, catamaran, pedalos, fishing, beach clubs...are offered on the 4 beaches around the salt-lake. No waves....
