Discover the real Pays Basque during your stay at Camping NARBAITZ and enjoy
a holiday full of activities close to nature and adaptable to suit everyone.
Our partners "Ur Bizia" (white water rafting) and the "Groupement d'accompagnateurs montagne"
(mountain guides), are all qualified instructors who share our aim to
welcome you to the Pays Basque and to share with you the rich diversity of our
natural surroundings and culture.
Organisation
Activities require a minimum number of participants (ex : the mountain walk needs at least 8 people) and depend on the weather. Only the instructors and guides can cancel activities if weather conditions are unsafe.
The price of Activities is variable. The Camping pays for between 20 and
100% of the cost, the rest is due by participants.

Here's a taste of what you can do at the Camping Narbaitz in August 2008
- Monday16 h 30 : Rafting
Enjoy the fun and team spirit of white water rafting with an instructor to teach you the basics of this exciting sport.
Condition : Able to swim.
Preferential price : 6 to 12 years = 14 € ; over 12 = 20 €
- Monday 20 h 30 : Slideshow of the Basque Mountains
A local specialist explains what makes the Pays Basque so special and discusses
aspects of it's long history and culture with slides of things that you will see every
day during these activities.

hike
Superb countryside, watch the vulture colonies and admire the mountains stretching as far as you can see : the top of
the rando !!

Adventure Trail in the Trees
Discover the secret world of the forest, from the tree tops. Safely harnessed by
the instructors, you'll do better than Tarzan...

Discover the animals at the farm during a walk around the land. Daniel, farmer and guide, explains it all. Minimum
departure: 3 families.

Plunge into the atmosphere of the Basque "contrebandiers" (smugglers) for a night on the
smuggling trails through the mountains. Minimum age: 12 years.

Slide down the mountain torrents, dive into natural pools, swim with the
