2 minutes (2 kms) from camping Narbaitz, Saint Jean Pied de Port is a town steeped in
history. Visit the medieval town centre inside the fortress walls and follow
in the footsteps of the pilgrims on the road to Saint Jacques de Compostelle.

Take the
little train that winds up the Rhune mountain and visit the surrounding
villages Ascain, Sare,
Aïnhoa, Espelette … famous for their traditional white and red Basque
houses. Proof that mountains and architecture blend together.
The Côte Basque's fine sandy
beaches and surfing waves are only 45 minutes away, a reminder that the
Basque people are also fishermen and sailors.
