On all approaches to the Beaches, you are met with the mountainous fine white sandy dunes.
These Sand dunes were Man made in around 1840 to protect the countryside from the onslaught of the Atlantic Ocean
Vieux Boucau which has easy access ramps to cross the dunes, this beach has bars and ample parking. The beaches on the estuary need no climbing of the dunes.
