The river la Nive, Errobi in Basque, is the longest river in the Basque country.

The Nive, 79 km, starts at the Mendi Zar in Spain and receives the Lauhibar and the small Nive or Nive d'Arneguy in St Jean Pied de Port.

The Nive joins the Adour in Bayonne and they finish at the sea in Anglet.

The river Nive is popular with fishermen, especially for salmon fishing, but also lovers of rafting and canyoning.

The Voie Verte from Bayonne (start : Aviron Bayonnais Stadium) to Ustaritz offers a beautiful 13km flat path, in nature, to the water's edge. This asphalt trail will delight walkers, joggers and cyclists.
