Really well situated close to the all the main transportation systems, the youth hostel is your gateway to the Basque country. At the foot of the Pyrenees and and so close to the Spanish frontier, hiking is a popular sport : many walkers on the road to St Jacques de Compostelle stop at the hostel before setting off on the coastal route, known as "el camino Frances"
